Spotlight Sunday #17 Frank Coffee Scrub

Hey all

If you read or watched my Top 13 Products of 2013 then you would know that I am a fan of Frank Coffee Scrub. It is the best body scrub that I have ever used! It is an Australian Brand which is awesome as I love supporting Australian brands. The website is the only  you can get your hands on some and their Instagram is one of my favourites to follow.

The original scrub

The scrub smell exactly like coffee which I love and it can pep you up a little in the morning during your shower. There is also the Coconut & Grapeseed version and OMG this is the best smelling thing in the world! I love scrub because it actually scrubs your skin instead on just becomes a body wash! It can be harsh on your skin while still being gentle. Your skin feels really soft after you showered. It also has a slight residue after the shower which is moisturising, which I needs comes from the oils that are in scrub.

The scrub also claims to help get rid of cellulite and stretch marks, I'm completely fine with them going away! I'm not 100% sold whether it makes a heap of a difference in regarding stretch marks but I feel like I can see a little improvement.

Frank will repost customers pictures and people seem to put this on their face too. I personally think that this scrub is too harsh for your face and wouldn't recommend it. I think that is what makes it so good for your body because it made for your body which can take a lot more than your face can.

Would I recommend it? Yes I have already purchased this as gifts for friends! They may or may not have beauty blog of their own ;). Will I repurchase this? Yes I already have because it is the best scrub ever.

Makeup Wipe Monday #12 Nivea Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes Dry andSensitive skin

Yo

I have recently been trying out the Nivea Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes Dry and Sensitive skin thus it is the focus of today's post.

These makeup wipes have a strong fragrance, the smell isn't too unpleasant though. The wipes are reasonably thick but thinner than most of the higher priced supermarket brands. They are decently moist though which you would expect from Nivea. The wipes take off your makeup with one or two wipes, one is not enough and two is too much, no in between. I don't think I really noticed that it was particularly good for dry or sensitive skin likes it claims it is made for. I found it strange that there is a  fragrance when it is for sensitive skin as they don't really go together in my opinion.

The price of these wipes are higher than most found at a supermarket and not what I would call budget friendly, they are middle of the range.

Would I recommend these? Yes there is no reason not to. Will I repurchase these? Maybe if they were on sale.

Flashback Friday #7

Hey all

Today we are going back to last year 2013 to when I was on my skin treatment (read all about it here) and is on the day that I filmed The Rainbow Tag.

Let's start with me skin! Wooooow my skin was so bad here! It amazes me when I look back at old pictures and I see how bad my skin was amazes me. I can't believe it took me so long to take a serious treatment but it also makes me annoyed at my doctors for not referring me to a dermatologist sooner, there is only so many times you can take the same medication for your skin and see no difference. I'm not saying my skin is perfect now but it is a hell of a lot better than it was.

Now on to the makeup I actually really like the makeup but I don't think that it's makeup that I would want to wear out in public as it is very superman inspired. The foundation looks horrible though. I have no idea what one I was using but it did not make my look any good with all the pimples that were underneath. I do really like this eyeliner though I think that is makes a nice bold eye and I enjoy using blue to bring out my eyes more.

Spotlight Sunday #15 Bourjois Flower Perfection Translucent Smoothing Primer

Hey Pretties!

While I was in China I purchased the Bourjois Flower Perfection Translucent Smoothing Primer, haul here. It was recommended to me by my lovely friend Brodie. This is a balmy primer that comes in a tiny tub that you use your fingers to apply to the face.

The Primer is really moisturising and works well at giving you a smooth base. When I was looking at the primer at the counter in China the girl put it on my hand and it made the little lines on hand seem to disappear, she spoke no English so I think that is what she was trying to tell me! I don't think it would work the same for wrinkles but I think for dehydrated skin it works wonders. I like to use this for special occasions because I don't want to waste it! I think it is a good staple to have in anyone's collection as it good at making the perfect base.

An issue I have with this Primer is the price! A little doesn't go a long way with this primer mainly because the tub it comes in is super small! I wish the tub was bigger! You can get the primer cheaper on Asos if you don't want to pay the silly price that Australian retailers charge! I don't use this primer everyday because I think it is too expensive for everyday!

Would I recommend this? Yes! Will I repurchase? Yes! I love it!

Makeup Storage #1 Lipstick

Hey all!

I recently got a new set of draws from Ikea and I will be sharing this with you in a video soon but for now little by little as the draws are a complete mess. So today we are talking about my new lipstick holders. I got mine from eBay, I seriously should be banned! Here is my seller, I have used them twice once last year, one was broken and they replaced it straight away for free so I do recommend them.

(Sorry for the poor quality photo!)

I currently have 37 lipsticks which is crazy! Most of them are Revlon as I got given a cube (9 lipsticks) and eBay got me in bulk deal for 6 of the Moon Drop ones, plus some Lip butters! Then my other container is full of a mixture of brands ranging from high end to 'drug store'.

I just really like the way these look in my draws. It is easy to see the brand and the colour. It frees up room in my draws so that I can organise the draw with other makeup items. I really think that having my lipsticks arranged like this will help me use all of my lipsticks instead of just favouring the one colour.

Spotlight Sunday #14 Kit Gel Nail Polish Set

Hey

If you watched my recent favourites than you would know that I got a gel nail polish kit for Christmas from my sister. Mine is from Kit Cosmetics and I purchased the extra nail polished from Mecca. You can find it here, here or here. Each nail polish is $15 which is the same price as their ordinary nail polishes. The  machine itself is $69.95, which cheaper than some of the ones available at Priceline.

The machine is a single nail one which you can twist around to use on your toenails. The light can go on for 10, 20 or 30 seconds. I use the 30 seconds setting and the nail polish is completely dry after the 30 seconds. The machine uses a USB port for power, so computer or phone charger to make it work. It also comes with a nail polish remover, foil and cotton to be able to remove the gel polish when you want it removed.

The process of using the kit is extremely fast and mess free. I love it as it means no wrecked nails because your nails are wet. One coat is only needed for full colour from the polishes also, however to make it last longer I would recommend putting on two coats. The last power is pretty good with gel nail polish also. My finger nails lasted a few days, only short as being a check out chick kind of chips your nails. My toenails have been on for a couple of weeks and no chips.

Would I recommend this gel polish set? Yes I would highly recommend this one in particular, although I think any gel polish kit should be a staple in any girls collection.

New products April 2014 #1

Hey all

This week I recently got some new Clinque products. I went for cult favourites really, I'm sure you have all heard of them.  I had to share anyway I am that excited.

Firstly I got Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. I have been lusting after this ever since I finished my Antipodes Grapeseed butter Cleanser. This one is talked about a lot in the blog and YouTube world, so was something I just had to try myself. I recently have felt lost with my skin care routine as my skin is slowly becoming more like it's normal self after treatment (minus the acne, for now). It can feel like I am not taking care of it properly do I am excited to have a new high end product to motivate me with taking better care of my skin.

The other talked about product I picked up is the Bottom Lash Mascara. I'm awful with putting mascara on my bottom lashes and when I try I don't think it looks any good, I'm hope this mascara will make me a pro while giving my eyes an extra pop. This isn't an essential product to anyone's makeup collection but I am worth it, right?

I also got two samples while I was there and they are the clarifying lotion and the liquid facial soap. I haven't heard that much about either of these products. Only that my mother raves about the lotion. Looking forward to trying them out and letting you know how they are.
