Makeup Wipe Monday #9 CE Natural Essentials Aloe Vera Facial Wipe

Hi everyone!

Today we are talking about the CE Natural Essentials Aloe Vera Facial Wipes. I had never heard about these before I bought them. I got mine at La Mania Direct at Essendon Fields and I will link the website here for in case you want to try the wipes yourself.

The wipes are made in Australia (yay!), Alcohol free, Hypo-allergenic and includes Aloe Vera as well as Vitamin E. All of these make the wipe sound pretty good before using them. Aloe Vera is always nice in skincare as is so soothing.

The wipes themselves are nice and thick which I enjoyed. However the wipes are slightly too dry for my taste. It takes two wipes to take off make up completely but it will do the job.

would I repurchase most likely not as the price was on the more expensive side and I think the Coles wipes are better in general. I would consider buying them again in the summer though because of the aloe vera.

Spotlight Sunday #13 Michael Todd True Organics Pumpkin Nutrient -Rich Facial Mask

Hey all

You may remember from one of my haul and feb faves I got a face mask from Michael Todd's last year. The  Pumpkin Nutrient -Rich Facial Mask to be exact.  The one I picked was an exfoliating one as I figured it would make my skin look better after the mask opposed to the usual where it draws out the toxins. I don't own a scrub or any chemical exfoliactors so I used this instead of them.

The product does have the warning not for sensitive skin which I ignored, however my housemate tried this out and she felt like the product was burning her. If you have any fresh or open pimples the product will sting your face. I feel a tiny bit of a burn but it is not an bad one for me, just one that shows that it doing something. It also claims moisturise and nourish which is nice.

The smell is pretty strange in all honesty it smell like meat and tomato sauce sandwiches that I had as a child. Which sounds so weird but it isn't bad and maybe it is something else from my childhood but that is what I think of each time! When you put it on your face it looks like you have used Doritos as your foundation, a super hot look if you ask me!

This product makes my skin look and feel amazing the day after using it, which is why I love it so much. I have even had my boyfriend comment on how good my skin looked after using it, which is a sign of a good product to me.

Would I repurchase this product for sure! I am keen to try more Michael Todd products soon.

Spotlight Sunday #10 Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Hey lovelies
I finished my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. I really enjoyed the foundation. It has slight shimmer/ glitter particles. Which aren't very noticeable on your face but I would put the foundation on the back of my hand before I used a brush. The foundation on my hands when in the light would sparkle, like Edward Cullen lol.

I would say that this is a light to medium foundation. It would cover my pimples pretty well but I would still need concealer on blemishes and on those annoying dark circles. However I really enjoyed the look of skin when wearing this foundation. I think the shimmer does make your face glow slightly which is a nice effect when you are feeling blah.

I would highly recommend it and I plan on repurchasing this product also.

Skin update September 2013

So Tuesday I met with my dermatologist. I am currently really happy with my skin. I have no fresh break outs only old scaring still. It is easily covered with foundation. I haven't even been using concealer lately. I am so shocked how different my skin now looks compared to old pictures of me.

I have a tutorial that I filmed a few months ago that I never finished editing. My skin has so many bumps on it in the footage. Even with my foundation and concealer the skin looks gross as you can see heaps of bumps on my forehead. I am a bit up in the air as to whether finish editing that video and upload it. Let me know what you think.

Back on to seeing my dermatologist what he said was that I only need stay on the medication for another two months. Which I am so excited about. Since the pimples are gone I am now just working on getting rid of the redness and scaring. Two months will be amazing to be off the treatment and I will post about it  and film a video.

I also asked my dermatologist about the Clarisonic as I have been dying to get one. Pretty much I got told me to not get one. He said pretty much if you wouldn't put it on your privates that you shouldn't put it on your face. He did see that I had a need for it either. So I am really unsure on whether I will get it once I finish my treatment.

Makeup Wipe Monday #3

I just want to start with saying how hyped up these make up wipes are. I think it is hard to watch an empties video on YouTube without seeing them pop up. I really like the brand simple and have blogged about them before (make up remover) so I was excited to try the wipes.
These are just flat wipes which is not my favourite but they are a thick material which makes up for that. They are reasonably moist and I would go as far to say that they take off a full face of make up. There is a slight scent to them but it's not a fragrance which is good for sensitive skin. Simple aim to be usable  for sensitive skin and I agree these wipes don't Irritate my skin at all.

Would I buy them again? Yes I would. However for every time I need make up wipes as these are about $7 for a pack of 25. Which isn't that expensive however for a poor uni student it's on the pricier side of wipes. However Simple is always on sale somewhere.

Spotlight Sunday #7 Organi Organic Honey Peel

It is almost gone but you can slightly see it is a gel.

So if you have been reading my blog you know I am currently on medication that dries out my skin. This product is amazing at getting rid of dry skin. You literally just rub the gel into your skin and you feel the dead skin forming into balls. It sounds so gross but your skin feels so much softer and smoother after. I like to do this at least once a week and so does my boyfriend! I love doing this before a big night out as your make up applies and looks a lot better. It can also be used as a slight spot treatment as it helps to get rid of dryness on break outs. It also claims to hypo-allergenic and I'm down with that.

The only negatives about this product is this the price and availability. I paid $60 for this product but that was on sale while my sister (who also loves it!) paid almost double  at over $100. Also I have never been one to pay that much on skincare but I just love it and it is almost gone. There is a high chance of me buying this product again.

This there a skin peel you like?

Flash Back Friday #1

Okay here is a picture of me back in the day. I think was taken in 2010. I think I look different now and my make up sense is different now.

Eye shadow-
I used to put so much white eye shadow on all over my lid and in the inner corner. I rarely wear white at all any more now as I don't own a nice white since the one I used for this day was very old and need to be thrown out. I still like the look of the white in the inner corner but I hardly do this either. Along with the eye shadow this is just one colour! I enjoy using a lot more colours now and blending in different ones. This photo for taken slightly before I became addicted to YouTube beauty videos.

Eye liner-
This was back in the day where liquid eye liner was scary and too tricky for me to attempt. Don't get me wrong I owned one but it was in a pot and I could not do it for the life of me! Also this is back when I put A LOT of the blackest black eye liner in my water line! It made my very small eyes look even smaller. Anyone know what I was thinking? I have definitely changed my style of eye liner since then. I actually attempt liquid I am still not amazing at it like my friend Brodie. Also I enjoy using white or nude eye liner in my waterline to open my eyes.

Lips-
I do not have anything on my lips here! I don't always wear lip stuff these days however I tend to actually wear lip stick or a bit of colour now. Well at least before I went on medication and my lips became super super chapped!

Cheeks-
I am pretty sure I don't have anything on my cheeks here. Back then I did not have the love for blush that I have now. My mother actually told me I had to put something on my cheeks back then. Which is pretty funny as it made my face look so bland without blush or bronzer.

Also just thought I would tell you I happen to he wearing an vintage top from the 80's shoulder pads and all. hahaha

Priceline Haul! 40% off Skincare Sale

So there was the sale at Priceline....
I was failed pretty hard at controlling myself. I was planning a maximum of $50 I spent almost $70.

This is a picture of the complete collection.

Sukin Antioxidant Eye Serum:
I love the Sukin brand they are Australian and Organic so is a brand one I want to use more of. The eye serum is something I really wanted to try as my Medication is making me get little lines under my eyes so an eye cream and serum I feel will Hydrate and make under my eyes hot look so horrid. The price was originally $19.99 and I got it for $11.99.

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Eye Cream:
Once again i got this eye cream because I have been worried about under my eyes. Burt's Bees is also a natural brand which is something that has been interesting me lately. 99% of the cream is natural which
a go since it was reduced from $39.99 to 23.99. I love me a bargain.  If you look in the picture it comes out like piped icing or cream! My friend Maddy Recommended this to me also.

Hydraluron Moisture Booster
There is been a lot of positive reviews and hype about this product. Once again I got this because of my dry skin and Thought it would be good to to help keep it hydrated while I am on my drying out medication. I am really excited to try this and maybe some of the other products from the brand if I think they are as good the hype.

Hydratherapy Replenishing Eye Cream
This eye cream I have never heard anything about it really an impulse buy. I saw the price online and decided when I went in I had to have it. I am hoping this is a reasonable eye cream however it doesn't bother me if it isn't the best as I am happy to just try it. I paid about $4 for this so I am interested in if their is any results.

Rosken Skin Repair High Potency Vitamin E Cream
I wanted to get this as Vitamin E is amazing for your skin and is good for healing skin. I am thinking of using this on my face and body to help with stretch marks, dry patches and scares. My father last year got some pretty serious burns and Vitamin E creams was a huge part of the healing process.

Swisspers Cucumber 5 refreshing facial Cleansing Wipes
I am always looking for make up wipes, These were .89 cents so I couldn't say no!

Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes
I have never tried these wipes but they have had hype on YouTube for a while now so I thought I would give them a try so I can review them for you!

Flashback Friday: New Series Starting Soon!

So this week I annoyed pretty much all my friends on Facebook. As I decided it would be fun to create a new series on my blog and potentially on my Youtube also. So I went through all my old tagged photos and saved ones I like or ones that I thought were funny/ different to now.  Featuring my make up looks that I used wear. Some I still like and should recreate as I still believe they are flattering while others I do not understand how I thought that looked good. I will give you guys a hint of my old taste lots and lots of black eye liner. It is crazy how different my taste in make up had become. So brace yourselves for the make up fails of the past.

5th February 2013- Eye Brows

Eye Brows

I recently purchased the Jordana Brow/ Eye Shadow in Brunette. if you saw my recent haul then you will know I purchased it from the website beauty joint. I have fairly dark eye brows that I am strict on grooming. However I think that using this powder defines my eyebrows more. I am not always going to wear eyebrow powder as this is only for a made up look. For more natural looks I will not be wearing this. I am going to when I looking for a complete look. Here are pictures of my brows with the powder on. Leave me a comment if you use brow powder!

8th December 2012- The Love of My Life

There are not really any words that can describe the love I have for Lucas’ papaw ointment. I think nearly everyone in Australia has this,(I literally sold it to a five year old this week!). My lips have always been on the dry side so having products like this necessary. I used to love Vaseline as a child but I find this is better and more multi purpose  I use this on cuts, dry hands, chaffing’s, elbows and honestly anywhere I feel I think is dry or will amuse my small mind. I just think it is a must in everyone’s lives. If you don’t have this I would seriously wonder if you have been living under a rock as this is a cult product. I carry around the large 75g tub as I always loose the tube I think I have only every finished two tubes in my life as I lose it so quickly. The tub will last such a long time too compared to the tube so I love carrying around the tub in my large bag taking it everywhere I go!

3rd December 2012- Miss Dior Eau De Parfum

Miss Dior Eau De Parfum

You have to smell this and buy it. End of story really! this is an awesome scent which is sophiscated but sexy and sweet at the same time. This my favourite perfume from my collection and the one I reach for if I am going out somewhere special or I need just need to feel special. It is expensive but makes a lovely gift if someone is willing to pay the price or if you have cash to burn.
Now get it! Christmas is soon so you could always ask for it.

8th of October 2013- Ulta3 Nail Polishes

Hi,
For you who don’t know the brand Ulta3 they are a make up company that makes Lipsticks, pencils, nail polishes, eye shadows, blush, foundations and powders. There are available at Available at Terry White Chemists, Blooms the Chemist, Good Price Pharmacy Ulta3 can also be found at select Coles, Woolworths, and Target stores. I currently have 3 of the nail polishes I them all from Coles and they were all $2. The quality of the nail polishes is pretty amazing for the price. They are worth a lot more than $2 in my opinion and the price makes me want to be buy more of their products to build up my nail polish. You do need to two coats of the nail polish to get the desired looked but most nail polishes are the same so this is not a down side to the nail polish. The nail polish does last and comes in a large variety of colours. So I really recommend their nail polishes and will be buying more soon.

15th October 2012- Maybelline Baby Lips Glow

Hey all

I never expected to love this product so much. I have the mixed berry one and it smells pretty good. I purchased this one as I thought it might have colour like the ones you see the beauty gurus from the US have. I was right the glow series have colour. This one is in a subtle pink which looks so cute. I love the colour it looks so natural but noticeable enough to be seen.
When I first opened this product I thought it wasn’t coloured and I put it all over my lips and slightly over as my lips are always extremely dry. I then was shocked when I looked in the mirror to see that I in fact did have colour. So be warned it does look like slightly try is a clear balm when you open it. It gradually gets more noticeable in time. Also the more you put on logically makes it becomes noticeable. So I recommend as soon as you notice your lips getting slightly dry lips put more on to have soft and tinted lips.

10th April 2013- Yes To Carrots Moisturiser

Yes To Carrots Moisturiser
this is my favourite moisturiser like ever! I find that is doesn't leave my skin looking oily all day long unlike other moisturisers. I try and use the ones with oil as my skin is dry and I want to counteract that. This one is the one that makes my skin not seem oily after wearing moisturiser. Some I find I can feel it on my face hours later which I hate, this doesn't do that.
I stopped using this for a while as it got lost in my collection, I am so glad I started using this product again. I finished it up though which has made me sad. I plan on repurchasing this moisturiser soon, just want to make sure I use up all my other day time ones before as I don’t want them to go to waste.
In short this product is awesome. It is always nearly all natural not tested on animals etc.

7th Februray 2013- Snowkissed Cashmere Eye shadow Palette- Skylark by Elle & Blair

Snowkissed Cashmere Eye shadow Palette- Skylark by Elle & Blair

It is a Pallete created by beauty gurus on YouTube. I am massive fan which I’m sure my friends, sister and boyfriend would be able to tell you that. I ordered this palette online on Blush which is not the most convenient website as there is a $20 international delivery fee with no option for spending more money and receiving free shipping like other websites. Also not all products are aviable for international shipping.

Onto the palette itself. The packaging is really cute with the only downside it doesn’t have the most protective closing (it is magnetic). It contains 6 eyeshadows, one highlighter and a dual ended brush. The eyeshadows are Lace, Blitzen, Pinecone, Nutmeg, Ember, Shiver and highlighter Satin Sparks. The Lace eyeshadow is the only matte colour and clearly made as a eyebrow highlight. This means that the colour can not be used as an eyelid colour and not as pigmented or quality as all other colours. Blitzen, Pinecone and Nutmeg are all colours that I adore wearing during the day or night. Blitzen is a lovely eyelid colour or all over colour for a minimal Bronzed look. Pinecone and Nutmeg are nice crease colours are easily blended. The colours Ember and Shiver I have used to play around with however they are not colours I would normally wear. A red is not a colour I tended to where on my eyes. The blue is dark and not to light that it looks tranny like. Blue is a nice colour for blue eyes but it can sometimes to be hard to pull off. However I instructions they give to pull off the colour isn’t as simple as is made out to be. The Cheek highlight is an amazing colour to go with a brozned look. It makes an understated look that I have been wearing alot lately. The Brush is is nice quality and one that I am happy to use it everyday.

overall I have been enjoying the pallete alot ever since it was delivered. It is one of my favourite at the moment. I do think it will stay one of my favourites for the next few months I think it will be nice to use in autumn and winter since that was when it was released in the USA.

I may do a tutorial soon let me know if you would like one.

4th of October 2013- Amazing Eyeliner

I got a new eye liner for my birthday it was the Bourjois Liner Feutre Ultra Black 24 hr. I needed a new eye liner as my face of Australia one has almost run out. So excitedly I decided to test it’s claim of 24 hr by making a dash on my hand. You know what it lasted over 24 hours on my hand which included two baths and heaps of hand washing. I decided it passed the first test of lasting so I wore it cheer training. After tears and lots of rubbing of the eyes it remained looking almost the same as it had when I put it on. I did have panda eyes after the tears but with a wipe of a tissue they were all gone and my liner was looking amazing once more. I am sold this is my new favourite eye liner and I am so grateful for my friend getting it for me!

At first I found the felt tip slightly difficult to use as it is longer and skinnier than the Face Of Australia eye liner. However After using the liner more I find it easier to do a think line and my eye liner turns out more even.
