Hi all!
So if you follow me on instagram (beauty, personal) you may know I am a fan of the selfie! If I like my make up, bored or just feeling happy I will tend to start a photo shoot. May sound silly but I am sure everyone reading this has done it at least a few times! How else are you going to show the world how good your winged eye liner turned out? I thought it would be fun to share some of my recent selfies so you can get to know me and see my crazy side a bit more. Also if this means you will recognise me in the street so be it.

Make up free and simply showing off how long my hair is now

Another make up free picture this is just one to show how much clearer my skin has become
 Cheer leading competition selfie

Looking super white!

Hope you enjoyed my selfies I am sure I will be posting more in the future!

Update 25/10/13

Hey

So today's post is just a little update as I have been slightly slacking in posts lately. (one didn't upload though I just found out!). If you remember I am currently a third year university student and this is my final semester, so since it currently week 12 out of 13 things are a bit busy as well as stressful. My blog means so much to me however I really want to pass these classes and graduate with my peers, so this means less of a focus on my blog. This is not an excuse just simply letting you know I am going to be happy with less posts during my exam period. I finish classes on the 1st of November, finish exams of the 26th and then I am leaving the country on the 28th. You can say November is a busy month for me. I will be back in the country on the 13th of December and from then onwards my posts should be more frequent I will be aiming for 3 or 4 posts per week and at least 1 YouTube video.

I have some exciting plans for the future along with the fear of the unknown. However I am going to take you every step of the way and share my experiences with you.

Thank you for being amazing followers and readers!

Love Briony xx

Lazy Days

Since I am still just an university student I often find myself with some days free to stay at home, never on the weekend though, sigh. I am generally busy studying, filming, blogging or cleaning on these days. However my beauty routine for these days seem to be the same.

Not going to lie I do start these days with a big sleep in as I am a sucker for wasting my mornings, only because I'm a night owl. Then a I have a long shower. During my shower I wash my hair and brush it. I like to do this in shower with a heap of conditioner. I really fail at brushing my hair daily so when I wash my hair is my chance to brush it and attempt to have knot free hair for the remainder of the week. Sometimes I will do a mask but I am normally still too sleepy to do one.

After washing my hair next comes the full body exfoliating. I will use a moisturising body wash , I am currently using  a dove one ( Triple moisturising deeply nourishing body wash) and my exfoliating gloves. Although I recently got a body scrub so this has also become part of the body exfoliating. Then I will shave my legs as it is best to do it after you have gotten rid of any dead skin. It makes the hair stay away slightly longer.

Once I am done showering comes my full body moisturising with oil. I will use my coconut oil all over my body. Putting on some loose clothes after which tend to be my pj's. I will do a face serum, eye serum, eye cream and rose hip oil, occasionally a face moisturiser also.

What do you like to do on your lazy days?

Top Ten Spring Essentials 2013

Hello all my lovely readers!
Today's post is a collaboration post with my beautiful friend Tara (link to the post on bloglov'in). We did the We Heart Winter Tag on YouTube during the mid year break of uni, so now since it is the spring we are doing a spring related post! Which is exciting, if you like our collabs comment below and I am sure I we will do them more often!

1: Sun Sense Daily Face Invisible Tint Finish SPF 30+
In Australia the spring is hot! In Melbourne it is pretty hot, with some rain, however get any more north and even hotter. I wrote a post recently saying how I am aiming to wear sun block every day I go outside. This is a great product because it gives a lot of protection while having a matte finish. It doesn't making your face really greasy which is nice for a sun block.

2: Essie Fiji
This is a staple spring colour pastel baby pink. Nail polish is something that is fun to change for the different seasons. There is so many colours I plan to wear and I will definitely be posting them. So keep a look out.

3: Soap & Glory Flake Away
A body scrub is needed during the spring as it is when you begin to wear skirts and dresses. Scrubs are also great for when you fake tan!

4: Gillette Venus Breeze
Shaving becomes a priority it the spring and this one is my favourite. Use it with a  moisturiser and you will gave silky smooth legs.

5: Benefit Coralista
This is new to my collection but I know I will be rocking this through out spring and summer!

6. Revlon Nearly Naked
This a little coverage foundation which is what you want in the hotter months. Who wants foundation dripping off their skin? Gross! A light coverage will hide your imperfection while still letting your skin be seen.

7: Simple moisturiser
Once spring comes it's time to say goodbye to all those thick day time moisturisers. Think something light and refreshing. This is a really light one that can feel like your putting water on your face. Since it is made by Simple it's also really good for sensitive skin!
(Picture will be inserted as soon as I find mine. Lol)

8: YSL Baby doll
I feel like this is my most floral and light scent that I own. Having a floral perfume is perfect for spring this one brings me back to being younger (think early to mid high school ). It can be tricky recommending perfumes as everyone enjoys different scents but for spring I would say pick a fun scent that goes with the sunny weather and blooming flowers!.

9: Maybelline Colour Sensational Fuchsia Flash
Hot weather to me means bright and bold lips. This a stunning hot pink and I love it! A baby pink is also cute for spring if you are looking for something less bold.

10: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick Pink Blush
This is a more subtle colour for those who aren't into bold as much as me. This is a nice pale baby pink, it's natural enough during the day also. If you want an easy go to colour this spring I would highly recommend this one.

New Series Helping Jess

Yay so am starting a new series woo! People who know me in 'real life' know in July one of my university friends ( more like only uni friend!) moved in with me. When it comes to beauty we are completely different. Jess wears makeup everyday, uses soap to wash her face, straightens her hair almost daily and I am constantly reminding her to take off her make up.

Recently washing her face with soap has stopped working for her, no surprise right? Well together we are going to find the solution to her skin issues, hopefully. We are going to start with finding her an actually cleanser and maybe a set to use. Money is no object here as she Is willing to pay more money if that means results.

I am really excited about this series as it can be a way for me to research and buy things but not have to pay for it.

If you have recommendations for Jess that would be great and we can all work together to help Jess out.

Spotlight Sunday #10 Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Hey lovelies
I finished my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. I really enjoyed the foundation. It has slight shimmer/ glitter particles. Which aren't very noticeable on your face but I would put the foundation on the back of my hand before I used a brush. The foundation on my hands when in the light would sparkle, like Edward Cullen lol.

I would say that this is a light to medium foundation. It would cover my pimples pretty well but I would still need concealer on blemishes and on those annoying dark circles. However I really enjoyed the look of skin when wearing this foundation. I think the shimmer does make your face glow slightly which is a nice effect when you are feeling blah.

I would highly recommend it and I plan on repurchasing this product also.

Sample Queen #2 - Suigo Vital Nutrition Intensive Hair Repair Treatment

The sample featuring in today's post is the Suigo Vital Nutrition Intensive Hair Repair Treatment. I got this products a few months ago in a box and used it twice since then.

The hair mask is meant to be left in shampooed hair for 20 to 30 minutes. It would be good for people who do masks while bathing, which was me last year but this year I only have a shower (i swear when I move I better have a bath). It feels great while in the hair and I could easily brush out my knots which is something I need when washing my hair! I got complements the day after I used this and was asked if I had straightened my hair. I think this product works really well for products and I will buy it in a full size version not for an every week mask but for one when my hair needs extra care or when it has been extra messy.

Shaving Cream Vs Body Moisturiser

This year I recently tried shaving cream for the first time ever. At 21 I had never tried shaving cream it wasn't until I moved out and started living with my friend Jess that I had tried it. Sorry Jess I may have used your shaving cream haha. It was tempting to try since it was sitting in my shower. Now on less of a rant. So since I was so new to what I am sure everyone uses I thought I would share my experience.

Shaving cream
Pros
-it's easier to see where you have already shaved and where you still need to shave
-It's more fun. Can you tell I am new too it?
-comes in many scents

Cons
-Expensive
-Can gets rusty

Moisturisers
Pros
-Cheap, very cheap
-Skin feels amazing afterwards
-Many varities

Cons
-Not as easy to see where you have already shaved
-If to get scented versions it can be expensive

Honestly I will continue to use moisturiser as I love the feeling afterwards and i think it leaves legs Feeling than they do with shaving cream. I think it is the best and it is so cheap and easy. I use the Redwin one sorbelene one but you can get home brand verso d for even cheaper. It cost a few dollars for a big litre with pump container.

What do you use?

New Products September 2013 #3 Little Target Haul

My birthday money was burning a hole in my pocket and since my boyfriend was dying to get the new grand theft auto game I headed to target for the midnight release. Was this a good idea? Hello no. One  no night time snuggles he pulled an all nighter to play and two at 12 am it is really hard for me to say no to anything. To be fair though nearly everything was on sale. Only downside the cashier charged me twice for one if the items! It was a $3.00 item but whatever!

The first item I got was a 75g tub of Lucas Papaw Ointment because it was half price at $11.50. I love this product, I'm almost finished mine and I have no idea where mine is currently. So snatching it up at such a low price makes sense. Post on this product here.

Next came the Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder in Natural. This is a cult product I'm Australia and one I was not sure whether I would repurchase. However it was on sale for $4.00 which is extremely hard to say no too! I think I will keep it hidden away until summer as it is slightly too dark for my skin and can look a little orange. Although I have bought this product at least 3 times in the past 12 months so I do actually love it, just not so much for my pale winter skin!

Essence Nail Art Express Dry Drops this is a product I have been dying to try for a while now I have bought it for other people and heard only good things about it. For only $3.50 I am not sure what took me so long to buy it! I am looking forward to seeing if this does really help nail polish drying time as it will be an excuse to do my nails more often.

Soon after was the Essence Lash Mania ultra volume mascara. This one at the bargain price of $1.00. Okay I am slightly worried as to why it was so cheap but I am sure this will be a decent everyday mascara for work or just times when I am wearing glasses and don't need lots of length.

Another Essence Product the Home Sweet Home collection eyeshadow in 01 h
Happy Couching. This is a nice deep brown colour which I thought would be a nice crease colour not too shimmery and not too matte. I just think Essence is such great value for the amazing quality. I paid $3.50 and I am pretty happy with that.

Surprise Essence again another bargain product for only $3.00 the eyeshadow Quattro in 07 Over The Taupe. Which is a really pretty and simple neutral quad which would be nice for when I travel later in the year. It will also just be nice in general as I am fan of the neutral, as I like a bold lip.

The final Essence product is from the Sun Club Collection the nail polish in 01 BBC Pink Heat. Which came to the amazing price of $1. It is a stunning bold colour which will look amazing this spring and summer. Let's be real I will wear it in the winter too.

What did you spend your birthday money on this year?
Get any bargains?

September Bellabox 2013

I just got my September Bellabox! Yay! So I wanted to share it with you all.

This month's box was partnered with Cleo and was focused around spring party essentials. Basically sping racing, which fingers crossed that I will be going this year!

The first item is the October issue of Cleo. I was so shocked and happy to get this. I was so glad that I didn't buy this the day before like I planned. Not much to say about this item but I will be reading all of it.

Montagne jeunesse blemish mud masque:
This was one of their essential items it is retailed for $3.99. I loved face masks, while writing this posts I currently haven't a face on my mask. This is a blemish one which isn't what I am looking for at the moment. However I will try it or maybe I will make my housemate use it (she will be featuring in a blog series soon!). Overall I am happy getting his product.

Elegant touch envy wraps:
This is the colour item and it is retailed as $8.99. I am excited about this item as I still haven't used this style of nails, even though I have a few waiting for me. I am not a fan of the actual colours however I think it will be amazing to use on a younger cousin. So overall I am happy getting this.

Schick hydro silk razor:
This is the award winner and is retailed for $9.99. I have never used this brand but I am looking forward to use this. I currently use Venus one so once that is finished I will use this one, or I will wait until I move later in the year. It's a razor not too much to say about it other then I will be using it. Overall I am very impressed with getting this item as it is one that won't be lost in my samples draw.

Manicare glam Kelly lashes:
This is a trick item and retails for 11.95. I am pretty bad with false lashes but I have tried this brand before. I really do like this brand and trust that they will be a great quality. I will use these soon so that is exacting. Overall I am really happy with this item as this is a beauty product I don't have much of so it can't get lost in my collection.

Footcare gel ball of foot cushions:
This is an essential item and is priced at $8.99 for 2 pairs. This is a create product to receive as I do love to wear heels and this will make them have a chance to feel better. Overall I am really happy with this item as I was looking to buy this the other week, I will use it.

Garnier amber solaire natural bronzer spray:
This is a cult item along with the Priceline pick and retails for 14.95. I am new to tanning myself, getting it done for myself is just so much easier. I am excited to try this as it in the shade light and all of ,one are in deep bronze cheer. Over all I am happy to have this item and plan to try this out to perfect tanning.

ASAP pure mineral eye pencil:
This is a colour items and retails for $20.00. This is a brown eyeliner and I excited to have this as I don't currently have a brown eyeliner. This is a item that will look good as a subtle liner for every day wear. Overall I am happy with this product and thing it will be useful.

I am really happy with the whole box. I think it was amazing value. So excited to use all of and tell you my thoughts!

Briony xx

Beauty Goal

For the rest of the year I have a pretty simple beauty goal. To use sunscreen everyday I am going outside. I do wear foundation with SPF however I find myself not wearing make up more often then not. My day time moisturiser is currently inconsistent so putting on a sunscreen daily will make sure my skin stays undamgaed from the sun and looking more youthful. As it is a well known fact that sun damage ages skin, since I am now 22 I am wanting to become more caring and kind to my skin. There is no better time to prevent wrinkles and skin damage than before it starts.

Will you join me?
